flabergasted

nothing says Sheboygan… like a BRAT on a pure 100% Sheboygan made hardroll (trust me there no better in the world)

so anywhoo the point.

So Monday  MIL and her Brother flew in. We meet them at the hospital and we all walked up to gmil room together.

gmil did not look to hot but when she realized we ALL were there she was beside herself… with joy.

I am not shitting you… her demeaner changed in AN INSTANT!

She was so happy to have both her children HOME!

So anyway, Dick starts asking her about what she has been eating and therapy and what not. Well he starts talking about Brats and FINALLY… GMIL’s mouth starts watering and her hunger came back. of course a Brat is not the best thing to eat dueing recovery… and that grease would run right thru you. So she says, “No, but I could go for a warm bowl of Cream of wheat” we all laughed but we called the nurse in ASAP. And the nurse was soooooo very pleased she was FINALLY hungery and wanting to eat.

omg I cant start to tell you how that improved her mind and body… instantly! THANK YOU DICK!!!

Well she began cracking jokes (best she could) and talking more normal. She began to look as beautiful as I know she is.

So I called my mom (who has been our spokesperson because of her medical background and knowledge) and told her of our miracle transformation.

Well my mom just called me and she had to tell me about the change she saw in her to.

Now my mom has seen hundreds of people trying to die and dieing… and has never seen this in her career.

Her exact words were “I am flabergasted”

now gmil’s tests and charts have not improved… BUT they have not got worse… just remained stable.

BUT… when you are 89 years old this is par for the course.  This is a GOOD thing. but it was her demeaner that was totally affected and has improved 1 million percent.

Its our version of a Christmas miracle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We all are aware of course… we still dont know the extenet of the allergic reaction (1/1,000,000 chance allergic reaction to the blood pressure med… I think its called Heprin… the most common bp med) and what damage it has caused since she was first given the med in July….. But the Doctor (who has been a godsend)

is working his butt off to give us an answer!

So in this case, no news is good news.

But the best part is that mil and her brother being home has pulled gmil from her depression… and that is ALOT of weight off everyones minds!

Even if the allergic reaction ends up being fatal… we KNOW she is going to die happy. for sure!

I am so proud of gmil she has been such a trooper!

I am just thankful she is now HAPPY!!!!!

(sure she is still in pain… but she is more in love right now with her kids, than ever before and its sooooo amazing to see it in her)
