We (my mom & Dad and I) took the kids to the Movie cars yesterday, we all enjoyed the movie. I have read a few reviews of it before hand so I went in with a real open mind. I was not offended at all by the lines; “Hillbilly hell” or “He what… in his cup”{if you have seen it know what what I mean}. I felt that Disney/Pixar once again carefully added the adult type lines in so they went right over the kids heads. My children dont even talk about those 2 scence when asked their favorite parts.
My 6 and 3 year olds just loved the tractor tipping, and frankly being here in wisconsin we all had a good laugh. Being in town I never went cow tipping as a kid but alot of kids I knew in Falls/plymouth/oostburg…well they loved it.
My Dad was the first to say it after we got out of the theater. “When it comes out on video we need to buy this movie”
lol IMO its a total guy type movie even if it is target toward younger boys.
But I really enjoyed the actors who played each car thu. I have always loved George Carlin (NO I DO NOT find him offensive);I just learned who Larry the Cable guy is (he was on Jay leno about 2 weeks ago) and omg is he funny;Cheech…well need I say more lol, John ratsenberger…come on everyone loves Cliff Claven; hmm trying to remeber who else.
anyway. I liked the movie and I did not feel bad at all for letting the kids go see it.
